Medicolegal Sample Procedures in Clinical Laboratories

Abstract

Medicolegal specimens sent to clinical laboratory with especially toxicological test orders for examined medical statement of patient and occured evidence. Law obligations about medicolegal specimen procedures of all laboratory process -test ordering, sample collecting, transporting, accepting, analysing and result reporting of medicolegal specimen- does not clear. Laboratory workers worry and neglect the operation of medicolegal specimens. In this article, we reviewed the laboratory management of medicolegal specimen with present legal arrangements and scientific literature.
