Automated Urine Analysers: Microscopic Examination

Abstract

Urinalysis is one of the most requested tests performed in hospital laboratories. Recently, to ease the increased work load, to be able report daily and in a short time automated urinalysis instruments that can examine urine for cells and particles in unspun urine samples have been introduced by different manufacturers. In this review, information regarding automated urinalysis measurement methods for urine microscopy are summarized.
